Requirements

  • Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit)
  • DayZ installed through Steam, with a Steam account that owns the game
  • The .NET 9 Desktop Runtime (the installer tells you if it is missing)
  • About 100 MB of free space, plus room for the mods

Installation

  1. Download the installer (or the portable version).
  2. Run it: if Windows shows a warning, read the note below.
  3. Open DZGR: it detects DayZ and Steam on its own.
  4. Pick a server and click PLAY. Later updates are automatic.

"Windows protected your PC" warning

DZGR is not signed with a commercial certificate yet, so Windows SmartScreen may show this warning at first launch. Click "More info" then "Run anyway". You can check the file integrity with the SHA-256 fingerprint below.
