Is DZGR free?
Yes, completely free for players. Only the owners' "Featured" places are paid.
Is it allowed by Steam and BattlEye?
DZGR does not modify the game and bypasses nothing: it downloads the mods with Steam, then launches DayZ normally. It never closes the game for you.
Do I need a Steam account that owns DayZ?
Yes, DayZ and its mods go through Steam. DZGR never stores your password.
My server is not on BattleMetrics, can I add it?
Yes: sign in with Steam on the "My server" page, add your IP and prove it is yours by putting a temporary code in the server name. No RCON password is asked.
How does featuring work?
One weekly price, no commitment. Each time the launcher opens, 5 featured servers are drawn at random from everyone who booked and shown at the top of the list with the SPONSORED label: everyone gets the same visibility. Secure card payment through Stripe.
What data is collected?
No telemetry. See the Privacy page for details (Steam friends, owner portal, anonymous counters of the featured places).
Windows shows a warning at launch
The program is not signed with a commercial certificate yet: SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC". Click "More info" then "Run anyway".
What are the technical requirements?
Windows 10 or 11 and the .NET 9 Desktop Runtime. The installer warns you if it is missing.
How do updates work?
Automatically: DZGR checks for new versions at startup, verifies their signature, then installs and restarts. You can turn off automatic installation in the settings.
How do I uninstall DZGR?
With the installer: Windows Settings, Installed apps. Portable version: delete the folder. Settings live in %LOCALAPPDATA%\GameRank\DZGR (delete it to erase everything).
